Orsolya Korcsolán, violin and the Grazioso Chamber Orchestra

2019. August 2.

Orsolya Korcsolán is drawing enthusiastic critical reviews for her ”breathtakingly beautiful and emotional” performance. At 12, she was admitted to the Budapest Liszt Academy, then, upon advice by Sir George Solti, continued her studies at Julliard, under Dorothy De Lay and Itzhak Perlman. Her recent recordings include chamber works by Sándor Kuti, a Holocaust victim, for Deutsche Gramophone and a violin concerto dedicated to her by  Miguel Kertsman, with the London Philharmonics under Russel Davies, for Naxos America.

The Grazioso  Chamber Orchestra was formed in May 2007, by musicians of the National Philharmonics, under the leadership of Mária Marcella Detvai.
